How is HMR different from other diet programs?

How does the HMR Program work?
The goal of the program is to help you incorporate simple lifestyle changes to lose weight and keep it off for a lifetime of better health. The diet options are highly structured to make it easier for you to lose weight. The diets use HMR weight-loss foods in place of regular meals and snacks. Research shows that structured diets using meal replacements are the most successful for weight loss and long-term weight maintenance. Trained HMR professionals provide practical support through weekly group sessions and individual phone contact.

What are HMR weight-loss foods?
HMR weight-loss foods are healthy and delicious “fast” food. Our line of foods includes packaged entrées, such as Vegetable Beef Stew, Turkey Chili, and even vegetarian options like Mushroom Risotto or Mac & Cheese with Butternut Squash.  Additionally, shakes (lactose-free available), puddings, soup, multigrain cereal and nutrition bars are available. All HMR weight-loss foods are low-calorie, high-nutrition, and portion-controlled to support your weight-loss goals.

How will this program help me keep off the weight once I lose it?
Long-term weight management can sometimes be the most difficult part of weight loss. We have two phases of the program. Phase 1, weight-loss, will help you reach your weight-loss goal as quickly as possible. In Phase 2, maintenance, we will help you learn about healthy foods and how to maintain a healthy lifestyle so you can keep your weight off.

How much does the program cost?
The cost of the program depends on a few things: how much weight you have to lose, which diet option you choose, and any medical supervision you may need. The basic cost of the program is $25/week for your weekly classes and midweek support. In addition, you will be purchasing HMR Shakes and pre-packaged meals as your food on the diet. The cost for shakes and meals averages about $12-15 a day. This is in place of other foods, and many people find they actually save money on food while in the program.
