About Us

Since 1875, the health care needs of the sick and poor have been met by the Sisters, Medical Staff, employees, and volunteers of St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital. The hospital serves the Effingham community and the south-central region of Illinois.

St. Anthony’s is a fully accredited not-for-profit general acute care health facility. The hospital has 133 licensed beds and a workforce of over 700 employees.

The Medical Staff at St. Anthony’s represents over 70 local physician providers in 26 specialties and over 80 consulting physicians.

Our service area

St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital's service area is Effingham County and Jasper County along with portions of the counties of Clark, Clay, Crawford, Cumberland, Fayette, Marion, Richland, and Shelby, serving a population of almost 200,000 people.
